The Advancing Digital Empowerment of Libraries in Europe (ADELE) project is launching its tool at the end of the month! Join for an in person event where you will be able to hear from various experts on the importance of digital strategies for non-formal adult education as well as relevant skills for adult education professionals.
The ADELE project originates from the observation that digital technologies have profoundly changed our personal, professional and educational lives. The changes in the educational landscape due to digital progress are far reaching and the adult education sector is now exploring new roles, methods, and services in lifelong learning to better reach learners and make their services more user-friendly. But how can adult education organisations, especially those operating in the non-formal education sector, know if they’re using digital technologies to the fullest?
This project aims to answer this question by offering a free customisable web-based tool that helps adult education organisations reflect on how they use and where they can further integrate digital technologies to improve their services. The tool builds on the SELFIE tool for schools developed by the European Commission with the aim of supporting adult education organisations offering non-formal education. In doing so, the tool will help non-formal education organisations be digitally ready and forward-looking.
The event will also feature a firsthand look at the tool to learn all of its secrets as well as an interactive session to learn how to best exploit the results of the tool in future strategies. Make sure to register for this event by February 20.
