Over the week of March 21, PL2030 hosted the kick off workshop for the Erasmus+ project “ADELE – Digital Empowerment of public libraries” in the Muntpunt library in Brussels. The project will adapt the European Commission’s SELFIE tool for the assessment of digital competencies and equipment in schools to the library field and test it in over 100 libraries across Europe!
This project brings together EGInA, PL2030, the LGMA, ICCU, and GLBF and aims to provide a snapshot of a library’s digital capabilities and capacities. Over the course of the project, the partners will test this tool out in libraries and adapt it based on feedback with the aim of helping libraries and non-formal education spaces assess their digital capabilities with one handy tool.
To kick off the work for this project, the European Commission’s SELFIE team sat down with the partners to go over the tool in detail and how it was developed. We then followed up with more in-depth activities for the project which you’ll have to wait and see to find out more!
