The BIBLIO WBL stories campaign has hit its second month!
To celebrate what has been shared so far, we would like to take you through our first eight interviews, given by trainees coming from Bulgaria, Italy, Greece and Latvia.
Week 1: Martina Yankova, Bulgaria
Martina is a librarian working for Petko R. Slaveikov Regional Library. She chose the DIGY (Digital Transformation Facilitator) profile, to update the services in her library, exploiting the digital transformation process.

Week 2: Angela Scudier, Italy
Angela’s career as a librarian has just started, but her ideas are already clear. She chose to enrol in the BIBLIO CECO (Community Engagement and Communication Officer) course to “make the library an inclusive space, where the community can be engaged and challenged about its beliefs”.

Week 3: Akrivi Athanasopoulou, Greece
Akrivi’s experience attending the CECO (Community Engagement and Communication Officer) course was very positive, thanks to the community they developed with other librarians and mentors.

Week 4: Laura Lubkina, Latvia
Laura works for the Madona District Library, she and her colleagues have the goal to create a digital empowerment centre, where every visitor would explore the unique possibilities given by modern technologies. Attending the DIGY (Digital Transformation Facilitator) training course, gave her the tools and confidence to implement those changes.

Week 5: Ivan Blazhev, Bulgaria
Ivan also works for Petko R. Slaveikov Regional Library, and, as a system administrator, he chose the DIGY (Digital Transformation Facilitator) profile to improve his education and practical skills when it comes to digitalise his library.

Week 6: Micheleandrea Benedetto, ItalyMicheleandrea’s interview was particularly interesting due to his live demonstration of how to digitally archive a document.

Week 7: Angeliki Gianopoulou, Greece
Angeliki Gianopoulou attended the CECO (Community Engagement and Communication Officer) training course, because at University of Patras library they think that: “libraries are now and will become even more multidimensional in the future”.

Week 8: Mārtiņš Lagzdons, Latvia
Mārtiņš enrolled in the CECO (Community Engagement and Communication Officer) training course, because when the Covid-19 pandemic started he wanted to find new ways of involving colleagues and general audience in interactive activities. Digitalisation also means resilience.
