Here we are, back with the second blogpost for the MOOC webinars!
As part of the MOOC there are one-hour-long live webinars every Monday. During the webinars experts from the field presented case studies, best practices or research, related to the content that participants have been studying on the platform the week before.
This blogpost introduces the experts of the fourth, fifth, and sixth webinars. We invite you to have a look at them and the topics they are presenting.

Santa Gudža holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences in Library Science and Information from the University of Latvia. She has worked as a librarian and social media administrator in Bauska Central library, where she is currently working as deputy director and methodologist. She is also a board member of the Library Association of Latvia. She will speak on the topic of Digital tools and digital content development by sharing “The experience of Bauskas Central Library in using digital tools and digital content development”.
PhD Kari Kivinen, the Education Outreach Expert of the EUIPO Observatory, leads the Intellectual Property in Education project and Network, which promotes creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, and responsible digital engagement among young Europeans. One of its flagship projects is to create FAQs on copyright for teachers taking into account the new EU national copyright legislation. He is a member of the DG EAC expert group on “Tackling disinformation and promoting digital literacy through education and training”.
He has also collaborated with Joint Research Centre in developing new competencies for DigComp 2.2. The IP in Education project has created Intellectual Property teaching materials and shared resources under the brand IdeasPowered@school.
Mr. Kivinen has over 30 years of work experience in teaching and management of international schools in Finland, Luxembourg, and Belgium. He is the former Secretary-General of the European School system and ex-Head of the Finnish French school of Helsinki. Mr. Kivinen intervenes with his presentation titled Copyright in a Nutshell regarding the second module Copyright legislation.
Dr. Joana Dimitrova has a strong academic background in the fields of Economy, Information Systems, and eLearning. She has defended a PhD, Field of Study Public Communications and Information Sciences from the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies with a Dissertation titled “Hybrid Models for Distance Learning in Enterprises”. Prior to that, she has graduated with a Master’s degree in Information Management at Tilburg University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics at the American University in Bulgaria. In her professional carrier, she has proven to be a strong professional, leading information systems implementation projects for the past 10 years. She has led the implementation of Learning Management Systems for corporate and academic clients, as well as the development of business and soft skills eLearning courses. One of her major projects included project management for the development of 10 eLearning courses, develop in more than 16 languages, for Coca-Cola HBC’s Youth Empowered project. In the BIBLIO webinar, she presents Sales development Skills for the Digital Age on the topic of Sales development.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elitsa Lozanova-Belcheva is a lecturer at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” at the Department of Library Science, Scientific Information and Cultural Policy since 2006. She has also professional experience as a librarian and information specialist at the Center for Medical Information at the Central Medical Library (2 years) and the Library and Information Center at the Technical University of Sofia (7 years). Her research interests are related to the development of information science, information services, information systems, information and media literacy, as well as e-government. Elitsa Belcheva is the author of a number of publications. She is a member of the Board of the Bulgarian Library and Information Association (BBIA), since 2012 and Chair of the Information Literacy Section at BBIA.
Ms. Belcheva talks about the importance of libraries in developing digital identity skills, digital & information literacy in relation to the module Managing digital identity.
Valentin Apostolov works in Regional Library “P.R. Slaveykov”, he is a system administrator responsible for digitizing old aged library units and books. In the BIBLIO webinar on 8th November 2021, he gives his contribution on the topic of Basic principles of data safety and security.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kalina Ivanova is Director of the Regional Library “Petko Rachev Slaveykov” – Veliko Tarnovo. Since June 2015 he has been a senior assistant at the Department of Book Publishing and Library Information Activities, Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at the University of Veliko Tarnovo “St. Cyril and Methodius ”, lecturer in the Department of Library Management at UniBIT. She is a member of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Library and Information Association. Manager and coordinator of projects under the Lifelong Learning Program and Programs for Preservation of Literary and Cultural-Historical Heritage in Libraries, Museums, and Archives for the period 2015-2020. In the webinar, she speaks about Mobilizing the resources of libraries and other related organizations – the example of the North+ project, related to the third module Mobilizing resources.

Olga Kronberga is from Valmiera Joint Library, which is known as the initiator and supporter of the e-book platform creation programme in Latvia. She has been working at the library for 17 years and she is proud of having been present at the creation process of the “3td e-BOOK library” project from the origins of the idea to the implementation process and continues to be actively involved. Olga is an active member of the Library Association of Latvia and has been leading the regional department since 2017. She has participated in three IFLA conferences in addition to several other international librarian conferences, and actively encourages and inspires librarians and the public by promoting the strengthening of the role and influence of the library. She speaks about E-book Library from Latvia: Equal Access to Safe and Topical Content with relation to the module Protecting data and content.
Māra Jēkabsone is Chief librarian of the Library Development Centre at the National Library of Latvia and President of the Library Association of Latvia. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Library and Information Science and has 20 years’ work experience in the library sector.
She is the author and editor of articles and information materials for the library sector. She has extensive experience with presentations and publications about new services, trends, and other issues affecting libraries, including the Annual Report of Latvian libraries, and in organising education, professional development and experience-exchange activities for librarians at the national level.
Her presentation “Informative and advisory guidelines – Work with personal data in libraries” regarding the module Protecting personal data and privacy is part of the fifth webinar.
Dr. Joana Dimitrova speaks about the module Change management (Change support).

Antoaneta Dimitrova is the Coordinator of the qualification and publishing activity of the Bulgarian Library and Information Association (BLIA) since 2010. She is a part of the Executive Bureau and takes part in the organization of all advocacy activities of BLIA and especially in our annual event National Library Week. She has participated in the editorial board of BBIA Online magazine since 2011. Mrs. Dimitrova has worked in various positions in the libraries of New Bulgarian University and Technical University – Sofia, and from 2008 to 2010 she was director of the Library of the Technical University – Sofia. She was a member of the Management Board of BLIA in the period 2005 – 2012. She presents Mission of the Bulgarian Library and Information Association: Advocacy campaigns in the period 2000 – 2021, related to the module on the topic of Advocacy.
